SCOPE – Governance Basics

Governance is all about how your organisation is run, directed and controlled; in other words, it is about oversight. To succeed and be sustainable, an organisation needs to be well governed.

This short module brought to you by the Skills Recognition, Capacity Building, and Professional Education for the Third Sector (SCOPE), will take participants through the basics of what governance means in a nonprofit organisation.

In this Governance Basics module, you will learn about the role and responsibilities of the governing body and how you can go about governing effectively. Whether you are a governing body member, a staff member or volunteer, this module will help you to understand the importance of good governance in your organisation.

SCOPE is an eLearning platform aimed at European civil society with relevant and engaging learning content.

Participants will gain recognition through digital badges for skills acquired to support you in your work.
