SCOPE – Risk Management Basics

Risk is inherent to much of our activities as nonprofit organisations. From everyday operations to new development projects, it cannot be avoided. However, most risks can be anticipated, and therefore plans can be put in place to deal with them should they arise.

Learn about the importance of risk management for nonprofit organisations and how it plays a key role in good governance.

This short module brought to you by the Skills Recognition, Capacity Building, and Professional Education for the Third Sector (SCOPE), will introduce the principles of risk management and the steps in putting together a simple risk management process.

By completing this module, you will be able to understand the basic principles of risk management, the benefits of dealing with risk in a planned way, and the steps involved in a basic risk management process.

SCOPE is an eLearning platform aimed at European civil society with relevant and engaging learning content.

Participants will gain recognition through digital badges for skills acquired to support you in your work.
