“Investing in Community” Pre-Budget 2020 Event

At this special pre-budget event The Wheel will present its pre-budget submission “Investing in Community” which outlines the measures and resources needed to support the charity, community and voluntary and social enterprise sector to best support Irish society.

In a panel discussion, we will hear from a number of organisations about their day-to-day work and how simple changes in resourcing, funding models and an open collaborative approach would aid them in providing vital supports and services.

We are excited to announce the full line up of panelists at this event:

1.      Noeline Blackwell, Dublin Rape Crisis Centre

2.      Austin O Sullivan, WALK, Walkinstown

3.      Marian Quinn, Chair of the Prevention and Early Intervention Network

4.      Jacquie Horan, COPE, Galway.

Finally, Ivan Cooper, Director of Public Policy at The Wheel will also be providing you with an overview of The Wheel’s pre-Budget submission.

The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A from the floor before inviting all in attendance to move to the gates of Leinster House for a Photo Call at 2.15pm where The Wheel will present its pre-budget submission to members of Government, surrounded by a cross-section of our membership representing the charity, community and voluntary and social enterprise sector.
