International Conference on Survivors of Rape

The aim of the 3rd conference is to deepen our understanding of how rape survivor needs can inform our practice and knowledge and how an effective multiagency response to sexual violence, which holds a survivor focus at its heart, is created and sustained.

Health Service Reform and the Government's First Year: What Progress?

One year on from the formation of the Coalition Government, what progress has
been made in respect  health reform? Is the Government on course to deliver on their commitments within the next four years? Is its programme of reform achievable, given the realities of the budgetary constraints affecting all areas of public expenditure?

These and related issues will be explored in this conference which is being organised jointly by the Adelaide Hospital Society, TASC, and The Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice. The conference will be of interest to all who are concerned about improving the health of the nation and the development of an equitable and  appropriate health care service. It will be in The Grand Hotel, in Malahide for a wonderful celebration of 25 Years since the Institute of Community Health Nursing was formed. The programme, topics and speakers have been carefully chosen by the Insititute to provide an overall view of Public Health Nursing and Nursing in the Community as it moves onwards and upwards.
