The Sector and the Government

People come together to form community  voluntary organisations for a myriad or reasons - but often it's to solve a problem or address a situation that involves working in some sort of  partnership with the state.

While individual voluntary and community organisations and statutory agencies and bodies work together successfully on a day to day basis across the length and breadth of Ireland, there are relatively few places where the sector as a whole talks to the state about the "big picture" issues facing civil society.  One of these spaces is the Community and Voluntary Pillar of social partnership.
