"Where to Now? Empowering young people through information"
Conference, Dublin, 22 June

A joint initiative of Eurodesk and Youth Information Centres, the purpose of this conference is to exchange ideas on current trends affecting young people in Ireland including unemployment, migration, new media etc.

Young people have a right to information and a need for information. With this in mind, participants will have a unique opportunity to explore the tools and services that are available for young people to access information, including opportunities to work and learn in Europe.

The conference will be held in the National College of Ireland, IFSC, Dublin 1, from 09:30 to 16:00 on 22 June.

Remember not too long ago -

Remember not too long ago - say 15, 20 years - when information came from the family encyclopedia, newspapers and the telly.  Doing projects for school was a research nightmare!   The Web has opened a whole other sphere of information accessibility, and letting young (and older!) people figure out how to access good information is really important.
