The Irish Computer Society, The Association of Data Protection Officers and Just Social are hosting a free Data Protection workshop for the Irish Charity sector. As part of the workshop, Sean Brady from Just Social ( Social Media for Just Causes ) will be providing advice on Data Protection for Mobile Devices such as Smartphones, tablets and Laptops. The Irish Computer Society, the Association of Data Protection Officers and Just Social are currently involved in the process of setting up a sub-committee to focus on data-related issues within the Irish Charity Sector.

The purpose of the proposed sub-committee is to look at issues such as compliant data management, electronic client records and emerging technologies in mobile collection and processing of data. It is also proposed that the sub-committee should consider the design and deployment of a Data Protection Code of Practice for the sector.

This will be the second workshop we have conducted following a similar event in Dublin on Thursday the 14th of February whose registration was closed early as the event was over-subscribed so we strongly recommend that you register quickly using the link below.
