Invitation to Information Session on the Governance Code - Limerick (6 Nov)

Good governance should be right at the heart of any organisation, big or small. This is doubly true now with the launch of the Governance Code.

With more and more organisations signing up to it and others starting the journey to adoption, this is definitely the right time to make sure your organisation is not left behind.

This is where this information session by the Governance Code Working Group comes in.

This free event, open to all community, voluntary and charitable organisations, has been designed purposefully to create a platform for discussion on the Governance Code and to help your organisation gain a thorough understanding on how to implement the Code for your organisation.

In keeping with the interest and enthusiasm shown by charities in making the Code be the standard definition of good practice in governance for Irish nonprofits, a free information session has been scheduled as follows:

Date: Wednesday, 6 Nov, 2013

Venue: Exhibition Area, City Hall, Merchants Quay, Limerick.

Time: 5.30pm - 7.00pm

Registration on the day from 5.00pm

  • reconnect with those whom we met at the public consultation phase for the draft Code last year and provide an update as to what has happened since;
  • explore how organisations are progressing with the adoption of the now finalised Code;
  • share learnings and experiences about the challenges faced within organisations who are on the road to adoption of the Code and the best ways to overcome them.
