Each year, as part of our Postgraduate Certificate in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Enterprise, UCD Innovation Academy invites organisations to provide a real-world problem facing their business that we can set a cross-disciplinary team of six experienced students (most participants are mid-late career and from a variety of sectors) to work on over a four week period (part-time).
It offers participant host organisations an opportunity to gain a new perspective on and potentially a solution to a particular problem. Organisations including the ESB, Google, Abbvie and GlanBia have previously hosted projects.
There is no cost to the organisation and the time commitment is minimal. Essentially this requires the organisation providing a real challenge and a point of contact to brief the student team, answer questions and ideally attend their presentation.
We are looking for tentative agreement from organisations to participate as Project Hosts for the 2017/18 academic year. If you don't have a project in mind, that's no problem as all we are seeking right now is a tentative 'yes please' or a 'no thanks'.
The deadline for expressions of interest in this unique offer is the close on business on Thursday, 16 March.
