Community Mediation Pilot Project                         

This Pilot Project is a joint collaboration initiative between Mediation Northside and CoWicklow Citizen’s Information Centre. The aim of the project is provide a Community Mediation service in Co Wicklow area for a period of 9 months initiated by a group of Mediation Masters students from NUI Maynooth.

The pilot project will aim to empower all participants, improve communication and reduce stress associated with conflict”, said Valerie Gaughran Manager of Mediation Northside

Mediation Northside is a free confidential and non-judgmental service. The aim of mediation is to help the people involved in a dispute to reach an acceptable agreement to both sides. The mediators act as a “go-between” to help re-open channels of communication.

“The Mediation service offered by Mediation Northside has been innovatively developed by the Northside Community Law Centre offering an alternative dispute conflict resolution service to communities.
