Alcohol Justice and the Sustainable Development Goals: FREE Seminar in Dublin on Friday, May 4th

Together we will explore the inspiring examples of how civil society from other countries work to tackle this issue and we will discuss concrete ways forward for Irish NGOs both at home and abroad. The harmful use of alcohol is the third leading risk factor for poor health globally. Alcohol kills 3.3 million people worldwide every year. Among people aged 20 – 39, alcohol is responsible for 1/3 of all deaths. Alcohol abuse kills more people worldwide than HIV / AIDS, violence and tuberculosis combined.
