Africa Day 2013

The Waterford One World Centre would like to invite you to join in the celebration of Africa Day 2013.  This year, the Centre, along with the Garter Lane Arts Centre and the Waterford City Council, will be hosting an African cultural evening at Garter Lane on Tuesday, 28 May.

The programme begins at 6:30 p.m. with African music, dance and food. This is a family friendly event and all are invited to join for the day's events on the terrace outside Garter Lane.

At 8:00p.m., Garter Lane will screen the film Africa United, the fun- filled adventures of five African young people who decide to travel 3000 miles across Africa to see the World Cup.  This film carries a 12 rating.
