PCI College - Volunteer Scholarship 2017

Calling all Volunteers! Win a Scholarship for the PCI College Certificate in Counselling & Psychotherapy Spring Course

PCI College is delighted to announce a Scholarship competition for the voluntary sector. The prize will cover full fees for the Certificate in Counselling & Psychotherapy course, beginning in February 2017.

Many people who volunteer in community and charity organisations would benefit from basic counselling skills and the opportunity for personal growth. The Certificate course provides a foundation in counselling which includes theory, personal development and practical learning and can be the first step to a career as a professional therapist, as it meets the entry criteria for the PCI College BSc degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy.

The competition is open to anyone who volunteers on a full or part-time basis with a charity or voluntary organisation in Ireland and recognises the long-standing relationships that PCI College has with the sector over the 25 years since our foundation.  PCI College provides courses in Athlone, Belfast, Cork, Dublin City, Dublin West, Kilkenny and Limerick.

Full details on how to enter the Scholarship competition and the application form are available here on the PCI College websiteApplicants are asked to submit a 300 word cover letter with the application form, giving an overview of their voluntary work and outlining why they believe they should be awarded the Scholarship. Applications must also be accompanied by a short letter of recommendation from the organisation with which they volunteer.

If you are a volunteer, or if you know a volunteer who would like the opportunity to learn counselling skills and theory, log on to our website now and see full details. The closing date for entries is Wednesday 1 February at 5.00pm.

More information about the PCI College Certificate and BSc courses in Counselling & Psychotherapy can be found at any of our seven Open Days in January & February.  See dates and times of the Open Days here.
