4th National Conference of the Alcohol Forum - Letterkenny Institute of Technology, Friday, 10 November 2017

It’s often said that drinking and alcohol are intrinsically part of Irish culture. This November, the Fourth National Conference of the Alcohol Forum aims to challenge the narrative around the cultural inevitability of alcohol harm in Ireland.
The Conference will explore the historical, social and cultural factors which have shaped and maintained Ireland’s problematic relationship with drink and will examine how notions of culture are exploited by alcohol marketing.
Offering new theoretical and policy perspectives for understanding, challenging and changing the Irish relationship with harmful drinking and bringing together diverse speakers from Ireland and America, this exciting conference takes place in Letterkenny on November 10th.
