QQI Level 6 Mental Health Awareness - It's often the everyday things that make a difference

Delivered by The Learning Curve Institute

Being mentally healthy and living well is important to everyone. It's about enjoying life and being able to cope with stresses. The way we behave around people living with mental illness can have a big impact on their lives and recovery. To make a real difference, we need to understand the issues people face.  This programme will equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to work independently or in a supervisory capacity in an organisation which provides services to individuals with mental health difficulties.

The QQI Level 6 Mental Health Awareness Component Certificate is delivered by The Learning Curve Institute over 4 full days, Tuesdays, starting this October in Galway.  The programme is delivered using a blended learning approach which includes 32 hours of classroom based directed learning using a variety of methodologies and 8 hours of online contribution via discussion forums, plus further self-directed learning.

This course is fully validated by QQI under the new Common Awards System at Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications. It carries a Credit Value of 15 credits and can be combined with other Level 6 Minor Awards to achieve a Level 6 Major Award in Social and Vocational Integration.
