European Alternatives, together with the European Citizens Action Centre (ECAS) and Krytyka Polityczna, is running a training series from September 2017 to June 2018, to bring together individual activists and citizens to lobby for freedom of movement and citizens rights across the European Union.

You will learn about the drivers for hostile or ignorant attitudes to mobile European citizens, be provided with training from experts in EU citizen rights, in campaigning and in project management and tasked with developing a campaign against restrictions to freedom of movement and mobility rights. The first training will take place in Warsaw on September 18-20th and will be followed with trainings in Madrid, London and Florence.

To apply, here’s what you need to know.

  • We’re looking for people who:
    • Reside in one of the 28 EU-Member States.
    • Are proficient in English.
    • Have some knowledge of the issues of freedom of movement, EU mobile citizens rights and migrants right and some experience with advocacy, campaigning or policy influencing.
    • Are deeply committed to organizing a campaign or action during the training. 
  • You will be expected to join the entire series of trainings (4)
  • There is a registration fee of 150€ which includes travel costs, food and accommodation costs and training materials for the whole training series. If you cannot or partially can pay the registration fee, please let us know at the end of the form, and if your application is selected, we will get in touch.
