About: We have organised an Equality Day, entitled “Embedding Equality and Human Rights,” on 5th December 2016 to mark the UN Human Rights Day (10th December 2016), with a strong focus on speakers who will address equality and human rights in the broadest terms, on cross-cutting initiatives or interventions. This Equality event is one of CESCA’s contributions to the Cork City Local Economic & Community Plan.

Speakers at this event include Emily Logan – Chief Commissioner, Irish Human Rights & Equality Commission, Norah Gibbons – Chair, Tusla Child & Family Agency and Independent Consultant and Dr Austin O’Carroll – GP, Paralympian and Disability Advocate.

A panel discussion with key personnel from Public Services in Cork City, on embedding human rights and equality in agency practice as well as workshops demonstrating best practise in collaborative community work will also take place.

Where: St Mary’s Health Campus, Gurranabraher, Cork City
