Survey Probes Good Governance and Accountability in Irish Charities

The Charities Act 2009 and the launch of the Code of Practice for Good Governance of Community, Voluntary and Charitable Organisations in Ireland will change the way in which charities operate. A pilot study by Hilary Lynch, a MSc student in Management & Corporate Governance at the University of Ulster, aims to establish how Irish charities will respond to these changes in order to become more accountable to their stakeholders.

She has developed a 10 question survey, which aims to capture what information charities in Ireland currently disclose and how this will change in the future. The results of the survey will help to increase our understanding of the standard of governance in our sector.

Please take the survey before Friday,  31 August 2012. It should take you no longer than 15 minutes to complete.
