Sunday Business Post to Publish Special Report on Non-Profit Sector

Our sector is in the midst of a period of profound transformation. The Charities Regularity Authority (CRA) is now fully operational, and there is a renewed focus in our sector on financial and corporate governance, transparency and professional standards. Moreover, the viability of the sector itself is under threat from a shift in Government policy from a grants-based funding model towards commissioning.

These developments are having far reaching effects in a sector that employ over 100,000 people and has a combined annual income of €5.6 billion.

On Sunday 5 June, The Sunday Business Post, in partnership with The Wheel, will publish a special report on Ireland's nonprofit sector. This report will focus on the challenges faced by the sector in this turbulent period: the new regulatory regime, difficulties in fundraising, quality of governance, human resource issues and the pressure on services.

We will look at the current analysis of the not for profit sector in Ireland and in particular focus on the areas of legislation, tax and good governance.

This report will be an ideal platform for businesses/experts who provide accounting, consultancy, legal, procurement and advisory services to charities and non profit organisations to showcase their services.
