Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Awards 2013

Last Monday in Dublin over 300 people from the Irish social enterprise and social entrepreneurs community came together for the 2013 Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Awards. With an inspirational keynote speech from author Roddy Doyle and with President Michael D. Higgins in attendance, the evening was a celebration of innovation and enterprise from across the country.
Below you will find out who the 2013 Awardees were, and get a brief reminder of the 2014 Awards process (which is rapidly approaching)...

2013 Winners

This year the three Impact Award Winners, who will each receive support worth €200,000 over the course of two years, are John Evoy of Irish Men's Sheds Association, Krystian Fikert of MyMind and John Kearney of Irish Community Rapid Response.
The five Elevator Award Winners, who will each gain access to support worth €32,000 over the next 12 months are Natasha & Toby Haslam-Hopwood of Galtee Clinic, Peter Johnson of Jobnet, Graham Jones of Solas Project, Brian McCormick of Adtruism and Mags Mullarney of Move4Parkinson's.

The 2014 Awards process will open in early 2014.

And now that the 2013 Awardees have been announced, attention turns to the 2014 Awards application process. The search for the social entrepreneurs with the most potential to change Ireland will begin again in early 2014. Keep an eye on the the Social Entrepreneur's Ireland website for full details.
