Promoting Good Health in Older Age - Event Invite

Promoting Good Health in Older Age

Engaging with Europe
13 March, Dublin

The European Parliament is hosting its first event on Positive Ageing and MEPs are very interested in hearing the views of people and organisations who play a constructive role in healthcare in Ireland. The purpose of the event will be to promote better engagement with Europe on Positive Ageing and to give your members an opportunity to hear first hand what is happening for Ireland in Europe and more importantly, for your members to voice their opinions directly to the people in Europe who are moulding decisions.
Speakers will include representatives from the European Parliament (your MEPs Lynn Boylan and Nessa Childers) and the European Commission. Participants will hear about European initiatives and can comment directly to European representatives.
This is an excellent opportunity to consider and learn about what health and well-being means in older age and how the EU can be a resource to people living in Ireland.
The event is being held in the European Parliament Offices in Molesworth Street at 10am - 12pm on Friday, 13 March.
The event is jointly organised by the European Parliament Office in Ireland, Active Retirement Ireland, Age and Opportunity and The Alzheimer’s Society in Ireland
