Final Call: Make your cause famous & win €2,000

The Better Together video competition is a unique opportunity for Irish charities,BT2015 community groups, clubs and associations to showcase their work to a large audience of potential supporters (over 400,000 people watched the entries last year). This is your chance to connect with the Irish public, generate awareness, recruit new supporters and fundraise. You could also be in with a chance to win one of three €2,000 cash prizes!

You can enter by submitting a short video (no longer than two minutes) by Friday 6 November at 5pm. Your video should show:

1.) what your organisation does,
2.) why you think your work is important and
3.) how the public can support your work.

It can be a tailor-made video or an existing video, as long as it’s no longer than two minutes in total. Upload your video to Youtube or Vimeo and complete the entry form at by 6 November.

It may sound like a big ask for a busy organisation, but the truth is, anyone can knock together a decent online video with nothing more than a smartphone, a PC and a story to tell. We are not looking for slick, professionally produced videos – it’s about passion and commitment. Have a look at our blog for ideas and tips, or check out some of this year’s entries for inspiration.

Your organisation may already have a video on Youtube and Vimeo. You can simply submit the link to an existing video here and complete the entry form, or if it’s longer than two minutes, you can shorten your video directly on Youtube (see instructions).

We have joined forces with the Irish Independent and the Sunday Independent who will be running advertisements inviting the public to watch your video in the coming weeks.

If you have a story to tell, we want to hear it. But hurry, the clock is ticking: entries close on Friday 6 November at 5pm!

Find out more or enter your video here.
