Cork’s Inaugural Autism Conference - 9 October

Autism: A Practical and Holistic Approach

Parents, healthcare professionals and educators from across Ireland will assemble in Cork on October 9th for Cork’s Inaugural Autism Conference.

The program includes talks and discussions with 5 highly respected medical practitioners and specialists in autism and aspergers syndrome. They will share practical and holistic approaches to;

  • Behavioural approaches to autism

  • Digestive function and restoration in autism

  • Optimum nutrition for common autism symptoms and behaviours

  • Communication needs as well as sensory issues in ASD.

The conference will address approaches to issues from first diagnosis, early intervention to adulthood.

A one day conference pass full rate is €69.

The event provides a unique forum for parents, families, caregivers, adults with ASD, employers, educators, professionals, agencies, advocates and anyone with an interest in autism and aspergers syndrome.

Speakers at this conference include Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Mark Harrold; leading specialist in autism and nutritional medicine, Dr. Amy Herlihy; Naturopath and Nutritional Therapist, specialising in autism and ASD; Anne Darcy, ASD Speech and Language Therapist; Jennifer Nolan and Occupational Therapist, Nita Desai.

It is a unique opportunity designed to collaboratively educate and inform individuals, families and practitioners.

The conference is being hosted by The Health Zone, an organisation set up to empower and educate people on health and wellbeing.
