South Dublin County Partnership is looking for an H.R. Officer to handle a variety of Human Resource related duties.  Your role is to act as the liaison between the HR Manager and employees, ensuring the smooth communication and prompt resolution of all queries.  You will also support our daily HR activities and assist in coordinating H.R. policies and procedures in line with current legislation and relevant documentation.

Based in Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

Salary scale will apply in line with relevant experience

Key Responsibilities

  • This is a varied role which will include all aspects of administration, office management, procurement, documentation execution and HR administration.
  • To assist with the co-ordination of investigations, disciplinary & grievance meetings and ensure all paperwork is retained.
  • Assisting with the preparation of reports from the database regarding attendance, sick leave and to maintain effective systems for keeping staff records, time sheets in compliance with our legal obligations to funders and government departments.
  • Preparation of staff contracts.
  • Monitor staff contract end dates and liaise with line Managers to prepare contract extensions and keep the database updated on any relevant developments. 
  • To assist and update personnel files, staff induction packs, employee handbooks as required.
  • Compiling data access requests in line with relevant GDPR legislation
  • To work as an integrated member of the Administration team.

Skills Required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft office packages with the ability to maintain various systems.
  • Human Resource Management experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of IT systems/Health & Safety in the workplace an advantage.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise the work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A personable team player with a can do attitude.
  • Ensure the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality are maintained.

Experience

The successful candidate should have 1-2 years experience working in a busy HR environment and experience dealing with employer relations.

Education and Training

  • A relevant third level qualification in Human Resource Management is essential
  • CIPD Membership is an advantage
