Fundraising & Engagement Assistant

This is full time position based in Tralee, Co. Kerry assisting the Head of Fundraising in all of the Saoirse Foundation’s fundraising activities. 

Applicants for this position should have the following criteria: 

  • A graduate of Business, Communications, Marketing discipline (or experience in the Charity/Not for Profit Sector)
  • High degree of initiative, flexibility and creativity.
  • An interest or experience in the areas of Fundraising, Events and Charities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly both written and oral with a diverse range of audiences.
  • Ability to research, analyse and collate data concisely and clearly and the ability to organise and manage projects
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint essential
  • The ability to be flexible in relation to working hours to meet the needs of the environment as work during unsociable hours may be required from time to time.
  • Education to degree level or relevant experience gained either in the corporate or voluntary sector.
  • Excellent proficiency and working knowledge of Social Media Platforms
  • Be a confident speaker as we require the candidate to be an active participant at some events, attend occasional cheque presentations and speaking on behalf of the Charity.

Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends is essential and must have access to car as some travel is required.
