CyberSafeKids is currently seeking a Finance & Operations Manager
BACKGROUND:
CyberSafeKids (CSK) was set-up in 2015 and is Ireland’s national voice for children’s online safety, protection and rights. We work with children, parents, and communities to shape policy, change behaviours, and build a safer digital world for Ireland’s young people.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but mighty team and play a key role in supporting CSK’s financial and operational activities. Reporting to the CEO, the Finance and Operations Manager (FOM) will manage the overall operations of the charity, including: finance, funding, office management, IT, human resources and governance. The FOM is part of the Senior Management Team, alongside the CEO and the Head of Policy & Communications.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
To succeed in this role, you will have senior management experience in financial management, a passion for relationship management, technical know-how, and proven operational experience. You will have a talent for managing people and operations effectively and an ability to multitask and adapt to the various needs of the organisation.
You will manage the Operations team, which constitutes the Fundraising Manager, the Finance & Operations Officer and the Education & Admin Officer.
This is a varied role which requires a dynamic, energetic professional with a strong track record in operations, financial management and the management of teams. You need to be a strong team leader as well as a team player with the ability to produce and deliver results, excellent networking and presentation skills, and a genuine desire to see children protected and empowered online.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
FINANCE
- Oversee all financial management e.g. budgeting, forecasting, reporting, payroll, expenses, and financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping
- In collaboration with the CEO, prepare and monitor the annual budget
- Set annual fundraising targets and monitor income and funding opportunities
- Deliver regular and accurate financial reports and analysis for Board meetings and to support effective decision-making
- Oversee the preparation and timely submission of financial statements and annual reports
- Ensure financial policies and procedures are in place, followed, and aligned with best practices in financial management
- Liaise with team members on projects, budgets and all financial matters
- Liaise with funders on fees, grants and contracts
- Liaise with the auditor in preparation of the annual financial statements
OPERATIONS
- Lead the Operations team, including the line management of personnel. Support team members by undertaking regular PDPs and check-ins
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including office administration, HR, IT, and logistics
- Oversee the CRM system and accounting software
GOVERNANCE
- Ensure full compliance with Irish charity law, tax obligations, and all regulatory requirements, including all statutory filings and notifications with the Companies Registration Office, Charities Regulatory Authority, and other relevant bodies.
- Oversee the organisation’s risk register, proactively identifying and mitigating financial and operational risks
- Support the Board in their oversight role and assist and induct new Board members
HR
- Develop effective HR policies and practices in line with best practice
- Administer payroll, taxes, pensions, and employee benefits, maintaining accurate records of salaries, leave, and working hours.
- Support the CEO in recruitment processes, including job design, advertising, selection, and onboarding.
- Prepare employment contracts and support and induct new team members
Start date: 5th January 2026 (Subject to availability)
First round interviews will take place on Thursday, 4th December and second round interviews will take place on Tuesday, 9th December.
Salary: €40k for 30 hours per week
Job type: Working from home (with monthly f2f team meetings in Dublin)
