The purpose of this role is:
- To lead on Conference centric fundraising, proactively engaging with Regions, Areas and Conferences, ensuring that they have the resources, materials and information that they needed to fundraise.
- To lead on corporate engagement and the development of corporate programme and strategy.
- To lead on grants, trust & foundations for National Office
- To have primary responsibility for the implementation of the national CHY charity tax back programme for the Society.
The ideal candidates will possess the following:
- Educated to degree level in a marketing, communications or business area is essential
- CII Fundraising Diploma desirable
- A minimum of 5 years of experience is required within the fundraising sector in a similar position
- Experience of coordinating/ administering the CHY process essential
- Experience of corporate fundraising essential
- Experience of community fundraising essential
- Flexibility, innovation and initiative
- Good database marketing knowledge
- Good knowledge of marketing techniques
- Good communication skills; verbal, written and face to face
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- The ability to juggle a wide range of activities and priorities own workload and meet deadlines
- Excellent computer skills and working experience in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook etc
- Knowledge of the Society and of its mission and values
- Knowledge of needs and issues of the poor and disadvantaged
