The Wheel created and maintains the Fundingpoint database as a service available to the Irish community and voluntary sector. It was launched in July, 2008 as an individual website. Fundingpoint was integrated into The Wheel website in May, 2010.

Terms of Subscription

  • Subscription to The Wheel's Fundingpoint is intended for use by individual subscribers and within the specific organisation to which individual subscribers may belong. The Wheel does not permit the publication of private log-in details (including usernames and passwords) on any public forum or through private communications. Independent organisations are not permitted to share login details with other independent organisations (including those trading under the same name). The Wheel defines an organisation as independent where the Board is independent (usually indicated by the fact that  less than 50% of Board members are appointed by a government, statutory or other body) and that the organisation has the ability to be self-directional in terms of deciding its own mission and vision – and even ultimately that it can make the decision to cease operations.
  • Additional user accounts are available only to colleagues of full subscribers and are valid for 3 months or for the duration of the main subscription - whichever is longer.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure, and are responsible for any activity that occurs under your login name/registration. Note: whilst The Wheel recognises that colleagues will share their login details internally, The Wheel does not permit the sharing of a subscriber's login details between various branches of a national organisation or between different organisations.
  • The Wheel will not pass on your personal or credit or debit card details to any third party except where an additional security check may be deemed necessary. We shall be entitled to process your data in accordance with the terms of our Privacy Policy.
  • By subscribing to The Wheel's Fundingpoint you undertake that all details you provide to The Wheel for the purpose of payment of subscription rates are correct, that the credit or debit card you are using is your own and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods or services ordered.
  • The Wheel reserves the right to suspend or deny the Fundingpoint service from one or more subscribers should it deem these terms and conditions to be breached.
  • Upon receipt of subscription payment, The Wheel will always email each new subscriber their unique Fundingpoint login details. It is the responsibility of the subscriber to alert The Wheel if these login details do not arrive. You may do so via this contact form.
