Generation 1992: EC Launches Competition for 20 Year Olds

The European Commission is running a competition inviting EU citizens born in 1992 to submit their opinions, criticism and ideas on the European Single Market and how to make Europe a better place to live and work. Entries can be your choice of format: Article, Video,  Photograph, Cartoon or Smartphone application on one of the from the four themes: 
  • Education and citizenship   
  • Jobs and entrepreneurship
  • Culture and leisure
  • Consumers and the environment
20 finalists will be invited to participate in the European Single Market Week in Brussels in October 2012. They will get:
  • A trip to Brussels to attend the award ceremony  & conference (three days and three nights) 
  • The opportunity to accept a four-week internship in Brussels or another EC city
  • Workshops with Generation 1992 Creative Competition Mentors.
  • Runners-up can win travel passes, iPods, digital cameras or vouchers.
