An Online Office for Irish Charities
Emagine Pilot Project Participants SelectedThe Emagine project is set to revolutionise the way in which Irish charities do their business. This pilot project will bring online office tools to ten organisations during the summer of 2008, supplying client relationship management (CRM) and financial tools to help increase the effectiveness and efficiencies of their core missions. The all-too-familiar struggles around poor information management coupled with the budget, skills and other obstacles to technology uptake could be coming to an end. The tools supplied will provide for each organisation a single, reliable and accessible source of information. The applications, as they are online, will be accessible from any internet connection. They will be professionally housed in secure facilities and the ten community organisations will be freed from the expenses of specialised hardware, software and maintenence/administration costs. All staff (or those who the organisation have given access) will have access to the one set of information, which leads to greater efficiency, accuracy and less duplication of effort and less error.
We are delighted to announce that the following Irish community and voluntary groups have been selected as participants for the pilot of Emagine.
The tools which will be delivered to these participants are the Salesforce.com CRM system and the SQLLedger accounting package. Emagine is being delivered through partnership between
ENCLUDE and The Wheel. The Emagine pilot project has been assisted by funding from the Department of the Taoiseach, under the Access, Skills and Content (ASC) Initiative. |
