Executive Education at UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School seeks to assist organisations & their leaders in meeting these objectives by developing business knowledge & mgmt skills by world-class leadership development
Currently in its eighth year of operation, the Director Development Programme comprises nine practical courses, with one of the courses offered twice. The course assist directors in improving their personal and professional effectiveness whilst taking the time to look at their broader responsibilities in terms of shareholder satisfaction and the needs of stakeholders.
The Centre also offers in-house courses on Corporate Governance. In-house courses are tailor-made for the particular needs of the board of directors of individual companies.
The third offering is the Diploma in Corporate Governance, at the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, provides directors and potential directors with an accredited programme, leading to a UCD qualification in Corporate Governance.
The Academic Director of the Centre is Professor Niamh Brennan, Michael McCormac Professor of Management, UCD School of Business. Speakers on all courses are drawn from both academic and industry sources thus offering a useful combination of theoretical information backed up by practical case study evidence.
