BIM, the Irish Sea Fisheries Board provides training for new entrants and experienced fishermen for the fishing industry in the catching, aquaculture and processing sectors. Course offered rane in duration from 3 days to 1 year.

BIM offers full-time and part-time courses in Commercial Fishing, Aquaculture, Safety and Radio. BIM provides training for the Irish Seafood Industry through a coastal training service which includes the National Fisheries College, Greencastle, Co. Donegal, the Regional Fisheries Centre, Castletownbere, Co. Cork and two mobile Coastal Training Units.
