Course details:
The European Commission (EC) is a significant source of funding for NGOs and community groups. Its regular calls for proposals and other grant opportunities offer a substantial amount of funding in a wide range of fields: poverty reduction; sustainable development; active citizenship etc.
Eu Funding

Despite this, many voluntary and community organisations avoid applying for funding because of the complexity and highly competitive nature of the EC grant system. However, by investing time and becoming prepared, it is possible to access EC funds.

This short but useful webinar will provide an overview of the various EC programmes available to the sector while also providing specific information on the ‘Europe for Citizens’ funding scheme which is seeking applications in 2017.

Learning Outcomes

Attendees at this event will leave with:
  • An overview of the EU financial and policy background for 2015-2020
  • A snapshot of the funding opportunities per EU programme (Horizon2020, ESF, Interreg, Creative Europe etc).
  • Information on training, resources and membership options available from The Wheel.
