Masters in Voluntary and Community Sector Management
The Masters in Voluntary and Community Sector Management at University College Cork, Ireland, is geared towards community and voluntary sector workers who have experience in project management and co-ordination and who want to develop their knowledge and skills in this area. It is a part-time course taught one-day a week (Wednesdays 10.00-4.30) over two years and is particularly geared towards people working in the community and vountary sector and mature learners. It consists of 12 taught modules, a 4 day Easter School, and a participatory research project/dissertation. It is taught by 8 different Depts in U.C.C. - Applied Social Science, Co-operative Studies, Management, Finance, Law, Government, Information Systems, and Economics.

Community and voluntary sector workers with a background in project management and co-ordination who wish to improve their knowledge and skills in the field. Applicants should have achieved a second class honours degree in appropriate subject area and have experience in the community and voluntary sector.
Applications will be considered from candidates without a primary degree provided that they have a vocational/professional qualification in a relevant subject area as may be deemed suitable by the Head of School AND the candidate has held, for a minimum of two years, a position of responsibility of relevance to the programme. Final acceptance is subject to approval by the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences, and the College of Business and Law, UCC.
