ITEC DIPLOMA IN REFLEXOLOGY, ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY

Course details:

Reflexology is an alternative therapy involving the practice of massaging or applying pressure to parts of the feet and hands, with the goal of encouraging a beneficial effect on other parts of the body, or to improve general health.

This natural healing art is based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, hands and ears and their referral areas within zone related areas, which correspond to every part, gland and organ of the body.

RATIONALE

The ITEC Diploma in Reflexology comprises the following ITEC units:

•Units 30-40 Anatomy & Physiology
•Unit 4 Reflexology
•Units 22.1 & 22.2 Professional Conduct and Business Awareness

All the units are mandatory. Unit 4 has 3 elements– theory, practical and case studies. Unit 22 and Units 30-40 are theory only.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The candidate will study the theory of all treatments, and will cover the Anatomy & Physiology of the whole body within the Anatomy & Physiology unit. Also a vital part of their training is the underpinning knowledge and skills required to successfully perform a Reflexology treatment.
