e-CITIZEN helps you to develop an understanding and experience of computers and the internet with a view to facilitating your participation in the Information Society. This course leads to the e.Citizen Certificate.
e-Citizen is a basic computer skills certification developed by the European Computer Driving Licence Foundation
e-Citizen is specifically developed to cater for you if you have a limited knowledge of computers and the Internet.
It gives you the necessary skills to participate online across a broad range of environments, from dealing with government departments, performing on-line banking and using email, to searching for information and buying products and services. By you these online skills you will have access to the life-enhancing aspects of the Information Society.
e-Citizen is open to everyone regardless of status, education, age, ability or understanding.
Candidates undertaking the e-Citizen programme should have some knowledge of computers (i.e. be able to switch on a computer and use the keyboard and the mouse).
