This programme was developed to meet the growing demand from I.T. professionals and business people alike who wish to gain a deeper understanding of concept and application of Cloud Computing. Satisfactory completion of this course meets with the licensing requirements of the security industry induction training within the Guarding Services Standard IS999:2004

Purpose: To provide learners with an understanding of the computer and its uses. Learners will be taught in a relaxed manner using the latest advances in technology to help them gain confidence as they explore data entry, word processing and internet applications.

Introduction to the Internet

Purpose To show people how to search for information on the internet and to send and receive emails, download digital photographs and save documents to their computer. The terms and technology used in relation to the internet will cease to mystify as participants work their way through this user-friendly six-unit course.

Life Skills

PurposeTo help people communicate in social, vocational and learning situations. Successful candidates will be able to communicate effectively and appropriately.

Office Procedures

Purpose To provide participants with knowledge of the role of the office in different organisations. Participants who successfully complete this course are equipped to gain employment in an office based environment.

Computer literacy

Purpose To introduce beginners to the everyday use of computers. Participants will acquire knowledge of the basic elements of hardware and software involved in using computers.

Advanced Diploma in Web Development

This course was developed as a follow on from the successful Dublin Business School Diploma in Web Design. It explores a wide range of technologies and current best practices used in order to build and maintain database driven websites. Students will learn to build and deploy dynamic web applications that interact with a powerful database.

The internet is continuing to expand in commercial, academic and social circles as a means of communicating, advertising, publishing and distributing information.
