HIQA Standards Training

Established in 2007 HIQA standards set out the basic and holistic needs of those who receive care. HIQA ‘promote safety and quality in the provision of health and personal social services for the benefit of the health and welfare of the public” (section 7. Health Act, 2007) On 1st January 2013, HIQA inspections will commence in all Residential Disability Services. Let us help you prepare:

We offer a range of options, staff can attend scheduled workshops in Dublin, Portlaoise, Limerick and Galway or we can tailor our workshop to the needs of your service, course can be available nationwide depending on numbers.

 

HIQA: Workshop 1

Aimed at all staff, this course begins with a basic understanding of HIQA standards, application and implementation.

Explaining the standards.

Exploring how the standards fit into existing practice

How practice may need to be improved in order to ensure that standards are being applied and evidenced through practice. 

 

HIQA: Workshop 2

Aimed at senior staff.

We explore how standards can be embedded into practice

How to write policies and procedures and demonstrate throughout our practice that all standards are in place.
