Established in 2007 HIQA standards set out the basic and holistic needs of those who receive care.
HIQA ‘promote safety and quality in the provision of health and personal social services for the benefit of the health and welfare of the public” (section 7. Health Act, 2007)
On 1st January 2013, HIQA inspections will commence in all Residential Disability Services.
