We are fundraising in order to build on our current structure and provide an appropriate level of funding into the future to continue our work to bridge the gap that we have found in services available to those who have become marginalised in our society.

Focus Ireland: Youth Homelessness Conference - 2 March 2011

 
Focus Ireland will hold a full day Youth Homelessness Conference in Dublin Castle on Wednesday 2nd March, 2011.

This important event will be opened by the Minister for Children, Mr. Barry Andrews, T.D., and will also feature a number of national and international speakers. One of the key themes of the conference will be to review the impact of the current youth homelessness strategy and to pose the question: "Is it now time for a new strategy?"

Registration at 9am. Event starts 9.30am sharp.

Stark Warning Over Homelessness

Focus Ireland has warned the Government that a continued failure to provide housing will lead to 'an entrenched homeless crisis much worse than the 1980s'.

Property Shortage Poses Threat to Homeless Plan

A Government plan to end long-term homelessness by the end of the year will fail unless more private property owners agree to sell or lease homes for social housing, the Homeless Agency has warned.
