National Children's Nurseries Association's National Pyjama Day

NCNA National Pyjama Day has been operating now for 6 years and has raised money for children’s charities in Ireland. On the day infants, toddlers and young children, as well as the staff of childcare services nationwide spend the day in their pyjamas and receive sponsorship to do this. Crèches spend the day having breakfast in bed, reading bedtime stories, having pillow fights etc. It is a simple fun event where children are provided with an opportunity to help other children.

area will join with thier new neighbours who have come to live in
Connemara and County Galway from outside the island of
Ireland.

The Mater Heart Appeal Week

The Mater Foundation's annual Mater Heart Appeal week will be running from Saturday 5th February to Saturday 12th February 2011.

The Mater Heart Appeal raises awareness and funds for The Mater Family Heart Screening Clinic, screening family members who have lost loved ones to Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS).

We ask volunteers to spare as much time as they can to sell our heart pins at €2.00 each either to family, friends, in a local supermarket or shopping centre.
