Make Ireland Aware with The Integration Centre Film Competition

Are you a student hoping to gain some experience in production? Or do you work in a diverse environment you would like to highlight? Calling all film-makers, from the amateur to the less so this competition is open to anyone who wishes to participate!!

The Integration Centre (TIC) want you to create a film focused on the themes of:

• Identity                
• Diversity
• Integration
• Racism.

Ireland has benefited from a burst of colour, creativity and cultural vibrancy in the recent past. TIC wants you to depict life in modern Ireland through a film. TIC encourage participants to be creative and think outside the box. Whether it takes you thirty seconds or 15 minutes the ability to capture the beauty of the New Ireland is in your hands.

12% of the working age population in Ireland are of immigrant origin. Currently there are 26.000 exchange students in Irish universities. Mainstream media is not representative of this demographic – we need alternative methods of highlighting and representing the true Ireland.[excerpt]

The winning film:

• Will receive €500 and be shown on YouTube, the TIC website.
• The shortlisted five best films will be shown at the prize giving evening and the TIC website.
