Applications for the Community Outreach Digital Switchover Programme closes tomorrow at 5pm - so now is the time to finalize your applicaton and submit.
The aim of the programme is to assist people who, because of their own particular circumstances, are least likely to make the switch from Analogue to
Digital Television Service by October 2012. The Programme will be implemented at a local level by the appointment of one local organisation per county/area to lead an outreach programme involving many organisations and events.
We invite community and voluntary organisations to apply for funding to engage a:
We’re looking for organisations that are networked within the county/area and both interested and capable of supporting the designated person to implement the programme. We’re looking for individuals with strong organisational, motivational, networking and project management skills, and who have a real interest in assisting the target group.
Closing date for applications is Tuesday 31 January, 2012 at 5.00 p.m.
The programme is managed and coordinated by The Wheel in partnership with Irish Rural Link and is funded and assisted by the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources.
The programme benefits from the advice of a National Advisory Group chaired by the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources and made up of representatives of the following organisations: Age Action Ireland, Disability Federation of Ireland, GAA Social Initiative, Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers Association (ICMSA),Irish Farmers Association (IFA), Irish Rural Link, National Network of Community Services Projects, Rural Transport Initiative, Society of St Vincent de Paul and The Wheel.
