Social media sites have enjoyed stunning popularity over the past several years with organisations now able to connect to audiences like never before.

Unfortunately, many charities don't seem to be unlocking their full potential online, and that's something we're going to change.

This half-day workshop will showcase just how easy it is for your charity to get amazing results from social media. A combination of case studies and best practices will be mixed with useful tips and ideas that are specific to the challenges faced by non-profit organisations.

This course would suit anyone in charge of managing a charity's Facebook page or social media content.

The trainer - Ian Cumbers

Having spent the last four years working with Pieta House Ian successfully harnessed the use of technology and innovation to help Pieta House gain over 89,000 loyal Facebook followers, and increase online donations by a staggering 900%.

This year, Ian co-ordinated the online campaign for Pieta House's annual fundraiser Darkness into Light and reached a whopping 4,097,414 (or 4.1 million) people through Facebook alone as well as trending on Twitter on five occassions - all of this without spending a single cent on online advertising.

Ian has since branched out and has started his own company - Social Energy - where he and his skilled team have become ambassadors for technology use among charitable organisations.
