Invitation: SMILE Resource Exchange free event - Dublin, 3 April

The next SMILE Resource Exchange free event is taking place on Thursday 3 April 2014 at 7.30am in Tallaght Stadium, Dublin.

SMILE is a government supported initiative to encourage and assist businesses to be more sustainable through the exchange of resources between its members to save money, reduce waste going to landfill and develop new business opportunities.  Potential synergies are identified through our unique facilitated networking events, an online exchange facility (www.smileexchange.ie) and a support team.

The premise is that “one person’s waste is another person’s raw material”.

The event is a great opportunity for SME’s and large companies from all sectors to network with other businesses and identify those who would be interested in reusing their unwanted resources. These resources could be taking up much needed space, costing a lot of money in disposal charges or maybe they are unwanted surplus products or by-products. It gives other companies the opportunity to source items for reuse thus reducing the waste going to landfill and saving companies money. This event is also a great networking opportunity so I would advise that your members bring along plenty of business cards.

Participants will have a chance to meet other businesses through our unique networking rounds which offers you a chance to:

  • Introduce your organisation in small facilitated groups at round tables in a relaxed informal setting
  • Identify potential synergies with other organisations.
