Free Cheese Available for CV Groups
The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine have a quantity of Intervention Cheese available free of charge to voluntary and charitable organisations that provide aid to deprived persons in the community.
The Cheese is in boxes containing 12x1 kg blocks of cheese.
For the 2011/2012 plan, each charity must complete one application form which will be valid for one year only. Each charity must also complete an Order Form when requesting allocations of cheese indicating the number of boxes required and store preference.
Under the 2012 scheme, it is a requirement that all charities participating in the scheme must have a CHY No from Revenue Commissioners.
