Active Retirement Ireland: Trade and Tourism Show
Active Retirement Ireland's first annual Trade and Tourism Show takes place on Tuesday, 12th April 2011 in the INEC, Killarney, Co. Kerry.
The Trade and Tourism Show – which runs from 12noon until 7pm - is free to attend and open to the public.
This major event will feature more than 60 exhibition stands, including 25 hotels from across the country, healthcare providers, tourism operators and financial services who will offer information and assistance to visitors. A number of free prize draws will take place throughout the day with a range of top prizes including holiday breaks around Ireland and luxurious dinners on offer for visitors.
Other activities on offer to visitors to the Trade and Tourism Show include:
- Free workshops, including an exclusive painting workshop with RTE's ‘Simply Painting’ artist, Frank Clarke, and a fitness demonstration on how to keep active, ‘Fit for Life’.
- A Fashion Show, sponsored by Shaws Department Store, featuring local Active Retirement Ireland members - both male and female - modelling the latest trends and fashions.
- An Art Exhibition featuring work from Active Retirement Ireland members from throughout the country. Exhibits will include works in oil, crayon and pastel and will feature a range of different painting styles. (The exhibition opens at 3pm Tuesday, 12th April and runs until Wednesday, 13th April in The Mangerton Suite in the Gleneagle Hotel, adjacent to the INEC.)
The Trade and Tourism Show is taking place as part of a programme of events organised to coincide with Active Retirement Ireland’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, 13th April.
