Women for Women International are marking the 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day on 8th March 2011. Following on from the huge success of their campaign “Join me on the Bridge 2010” they are hoping to make it bigger and better this year.

My name is Ms.Vanessa O'Connell and as an individual with no resorces of my own I am appealing to you for any financial support  you may be able to offer in my quest to host an event here in Dublin. This financial support would be used to print an official banner, posters and flyers to advertise the event. I have registered the bridge which will hopefully be up on the official site early next week.

What I have in mind so far meeting point will be from 6pm on 8th March at

Wolfe Tone Park
Jervis St
Dublin 1

to address the group short speach/background why we are there etc and collect signatures for the petition leaving at exactly 6:50pm walking the short distance to

Mellenium Bridge
Eustace Street,
Dublin 1

Observing one min silence while releasing some paper lanterns as a symbol of hope and solidarity to all our sisters world wide in the hope that they find the strength to reach out and get the support they require
