The Wheel Announces Innovative 'Cafeteria Consultancy' Training Event

Staff and personnel across the community and voluntary sector are always dealing with limits. Limited time, limited resources, limited funding and limited expertise to address the complex challenges of making a lasting difference. Having the resources and deep pockets necessary to contract this professional advice and consultancy is beyond the restricted budgets of most.

If you're a little rusty and could do with a workshop workout to refocus, then this is the ‘refresher’ course you need.

The Wheel sought to address this issue and in talking with our good friends at Management Briefs we came up with a new and innovative approach - called Cafeteria Consultancies - to help support busy personnel working in our sector.

The concept is to provide experienced management consultancy experts to those working in the community and voluntary sector at a fraction of the cost for private consultancy. Participants can squeeze in a wide range of consultancies from experts in their field in one day – an event specifically geared for voluntary sector personnel.

The event will run on Thursday, 27 October in the Carmelite Community Centre on Aungier Street.

Frank Scott Lennon, managing director of Management Briefs (www.managementbriefs.com), has put together a team of his consultant experts to provide one and a half hour workshops on a range of relevant topics throughout the day.

Innovative & Practical Workshop Subject Matter

Franks ‘crack team’ will be delivering sessions on:

  • Bullying & Harassment
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Impactful Presentations
  • Interviewing Skills
  • Marketing Skills
  • Performance Management
  • Project Management
  • Time Management.

Workshops are limited to 30 places per session on a first come, first served basis but you can attend workshops multiples of times throughout the day so you will not miss out.

The other great thing is that we are trying to keep costs down for you so you only pay for what you attend! You can choose to pay for one, two, three or four sessions and do not have to commit the whole day to the event if you do not wish to.

Attendees will leave each session with practical understanding and useable tools to extend their expertise in each area. Taken together as a whole, it will act as a general “refresher” also to the experienced manager. Better still all of Frank’s consultants have published books in the management briefs series and they will be there on the day for purchase on the day so attendees can take away their own ‘how to’ guide to help when they get back to the office.

If you think you’re a little rusty and could do with a workshop workout to refocus and get back in control of your hectic work schedule then this is the ‘refresher’ course you need.
