The Wheel Announces Details of Its Recession-Themed Conference

The Wheel has announced the details of its forthcoming conference, New Realities - New Opportunities, which will be taking place in the Croke Park Conference Centre on 19 May. Don’t miss the most thought-provoking event on the community and voluntary sector’s calendar.

This conference is open to anyone volunteering, working in, or associated with the community and voluntary sector. It will be of particular interest to those who like to keep an eye on the 'big picture' and the wider issues affecting our sector.

New Realities - New Opportunities will address the following key topics for these times of economic recession:

  • the impact of the new social and economic reality on our sector and the people we serve.

  • fresh international thinking on emergent roles for our sector.

  • new international perspectives on how government can better partner with our sector.

  • up to the minute information on the implementation of the Charities Act.

  • opportunities to explore how your organisation can govern smartly, manage people better, fundraise effectively and collaborate efficiently in these challenging times.

  • an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the central role our sector plays in Irish life and an opportunity to join The Wheel in celebrating its 10th anniversary.
