Take Part in Survey on Non-profit Income and Fundraising
Irish Charities Tax Research (ICTR) and the Ireland Funds (IF) have commissioned the Centre for Nonprofit Management, Trinity College Dublin, to conduct a survey of nonprofit and voluntary organisations on their behalf.
The purpose of the research is to ascertain organisation’s income base, determine the reliance on different fundraising methods, and identify how organisations are adjusting their fundraising planning in light of the current economic situation.
Such data has not previously been gathered in Ireland. The survey will help to address this gap in information and it is planned that the survey will be conducted on an annual basis.
The survey questions are aimed at CEOs and Heads of Fundraising. In order to complete the survey it will be necessary to have financial income information, such as annual report figures, to hand. As only one response per organisation can be submitted, it is asked that if you are not in a position to answer the questions, please can alert the person in your organisation who is best placed to answer them.
It is important for all organisations to complete this survey. A final report based on the information received will be available and should prove to be of direct benefit to you in your fundraising planning. The information gathered will contribute hugely to establishing a body of knowledge on fundraising, and of how fundraising methods and individual sub-sectors are performing. Over time, information gathered in this survey will enable the Centre to track the performance of fundraising organisations in Ireland.
While the Centre appreciates the many demands on your time, it encourages you to complete the questionnaire which, if you have the financial information to hand as you start, should not take too much of your time.
All the information provided by you will be treated in the strictest confidence and it will not be possible to identify any single organisation in the final report.
